As an athlete, Antonio is focused and determined. He often practices 10 hours a week, on his own time, just to stay in peak physical shape. Even as an outstanding athlete, he still has a sense of friendliness and fair play, often treating people courteously even when teammates start to get rough or the opposing team begins to foul. Unlike some athletes I have met, Antonio puts the same amount of hard work into his studies as he does into the game. He has kept a 3.4 GPA while also participating frequently in more than one extra-curricular activity.

Antonio is a gifted athlete, yet his outstanding character outweighs his performance on the field. He is a hard-working student athlete that is an active member of our high school’s community. He is able and willing to do what it takes to make his teammates and classmates better people.  I have seen him develop exceptional work ethic and discipline. He is always on time, prepared, and looks to become a better student and player daily. Antonio defines what it means to be a leader. Antonio is the student-athlete that sets an example for his teammates and classmates to follow. He stands out because he is always working with younger members of the team to help them develop skills for the benefit of the entire program.

It has been an honor to train Antonio. It takes a special student athlete to get up at 5am MWF and drive 30 minutes, 3x a week to train. Watching Antonio change his diet habits and put on 10lbs of lean muscle with explosive strength, has been so rewarding. His dedication and commitment to getting at least 1% stronger every time he comes and train, reflects his desire to be #1 cornerback in the class of 2023. Antonio’s discipline, attention to detail and work ethic will serve him very well at the college level and in life.
